Frontier Energy to Lead Contractor Incentive Programs

Frontier Energy, in partnership with TECH Clean California, is advancing California’s mission to achieve clean energy and carbon neutrality equitably by driving the market adoption of low-emissions space and water heat pump technologies for existing single and multifamily homes across the state.  Recognizing contractors and installers have importance in customer decision making, the program focuses on the need for skilled contractors, well versed in the benefits of heat pump technology. To do so, TECH Clean California has combined educational training and incentives to make sure they are well prepared for the more efficient technology.  The initiative provides these contractors and installers with information on residential heat pump technologies, consumer education, supply chain engagement, in addition to workforce development, education, and training.  Frontier Energy staff supports implementation by leading the following efforts:

• Recruiting and managing contractors with resources including weekly office hours.
• Supporting workforce training and development.
• Coordinating finances with California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority GoGreen Home Energy Program.
• Reporting and policy development.
• Planning and implementing pilot programs.
• Streamlining program process efficiency.  

TECH Clean California offers incentives, pilot activities, technical assistance, and training to address barriers associated with clean space and water heating technologies across California homes.
