Leaders are often looked to for guidance, structure and fostering an environment that allows everyone to grow and succeed. Fortunately for Frontier Energy, our Hillary Rollins demonstrates daily what it takes to be an impactful leader.
“Her actions reflect a genuine investment in both the people she works with and the success of the organization,” said team member Makenzie Davis. “She is a role model for the values we strive to uphold.”
As a People Leader on the Market Engagement team, Rollins has thoughtfully coached and developed her team members, built strong working relationships and empowered her team to continue to find new ways to enhance Frontier’s reach in the energy efficiency space. “Being able to work at a company with a mission centered around helping our planet is inspiring,” said Rollins.
Having joined Frontier Energy in June 2025, Rollins plays an integral role in the success of the Market Engagement discipline. Having an extensive background in people and culture, she has been applauded for her ability to work alongside fellow team members to analyze problems, understand a situation and work together to put forth, “practical and actionable steps to move forward,” said Davis.
“Leading with empathy and ensuring my team knows they are valued beyond their work,” Rollins shared as the key to building trust with her team. “Being able to show my employees they are cared for as people first is important to me. Doing so helps build the connection for them to rely on me for support and guidance.”
Managing a remote team of 13, Rollins focuses on creating an environment where every employee has a safe space to feel valued and heard.
“Employees can often feel that their ideas or opinions are not valuable enough to provide for a project or task. I try my best to ensure them that they are. To me, diversity is critical because it creates a space where different perspectives and diverse thoughts can be shared across teams. It’s those unique insights that allow our teams to shine,” said Rollins.
“She also leads by example through her professionalism, positivity, and willingness to help others,” shared Davis. “Her encouragement and advocacy make people feel recognized and motivated, and her genuine care for those around her creates a workplace where people can do their best work.”
Throughout her time at Frontier, Rollins has gone above and beyond in support of her team members. A notable example was her support of the Quality HVAC program as the team worked tirelessly to achieve their end-of-year goals. With deadlines looming, Rollins jumped in and took a hands-on approach to motivate and support the team in a time of need.
“I was calling contractors, planning training events, pushing email campaigns, promoting the program at a last-minute tradeshow and doing whatever was necessary to show up for my team in their end of year crunch,” said Rollins.
Through teamwork, constant communication, hard work and determination, the team ended the year exceeding their goals.
Outside of work, Rollins is an avid traveler who has visited over 40 countries. She checked off a major bucket list item by traveling to Antarctica for her honeymoon, completing her goal of visiting all seven continents. When home, Rollins loves spending time with her family, her cat (Dot), volunteering for grief and family support groups and paddleboarding through the canals at her local Southern California beach.
Whether she is leading her team, supporting a program or building new connections, Rollins strives to help make Frontier a place where employees feel welcomed, supported and heard. Her advice to new employees reflects that philosophy.
“Come into Frontier with an open mind. Seek input from your peers, your team and those who have been here, but also remember that you were hired for a reason,” said Rollins. “So, find your space, create impact and have fun.”
