Approach

TECH Clean California plays a crucial role in advancing California’s mission to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. This will be done by driving the market adoption of low-emissions space and water heating heat pump technologies for existing single and multifamily homes across the state. The initiative supplies incentives to contractors and installers while providing information on residential heat pump technologies, consumer education, supply chain engagement, as well as workforce education, training, and development. Frontier Energy is a core member of the TECH Clean California implementation team. The initiative exceeded its initial goal of recruiting 700 contractors by enrolling 923 contractors within the first six months of launch.

Frontier Energy:

  • Recruits and manages contractors with integrated tools.
  • Supports workforce training and provides outreach efforts.
  • Helps develop learning modules for program training.
  • Coordinates financing with CAEATFA’s GoGreen Home Energy Financing program.
  • Provides project reporting and supports policy development.
  • Plans and implements several pilot programs.
